Classic Albums Live Tribute Show: Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon Dayton Concert reviews
I can't really explain why this was one of the best shows I've ever been to, but there was just something magical about it. Dallas Green, with one of the most unforgettable voices in music, paired that with an amazing night of music with his excellent backing band. There was just something magical about it, and I think a lot of the audience might agree with me. The band played a lot of fan favorites from the new album, as well as older ones. Dallas is incredibly funny and down to earth, so his interactions with the audience felt genuine, even when there's a ton of people around. Dallas thanked the fans who were there from the beginning, while still being genuinely grateful to the fans who have just discovered him. It was a great show, and I'm really looking forward to the next time the band is in NYC - I wouldn't miss it!
Disappointed!
I could have read reviews before the concert - I really wish. A HUGE Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon fan, I am. Her concert did not reflect at all. It was supposed to start at 7:30 PM, it started at 7:45 PM - typical of Concerts. Her brother said she would be up next and played for 15 minutes. Here's the part that does not make any sense. Instead of setting up Billie's stage before it started, they waited until he was done performing. They waited until he was done performing to set her stage up, especially since Finneas only used the front 5 feet of the stage. Talk about losing a crowd - it took an hour. She finally started performing at 9:00 PM with a sprained ankle but still performed with energy and heart. She stopped performing right at 10:00 PM. Very worn out from her tour, you could tell she was understandably. It made me sad to see her that way. No encore, which was sad but again understandable. Being in the venue for two and a half hours from the start time, not including getting there at 6:30 to wait in line to get in. An hour and 15 minutes of performance there was. To see the flow and set up/take down, the tour manager needs to attend some other concerts. It was very badly managed. Glad I saw Billie, but sad that it was so poorly managed and that she was so worn out. I hope that she is able to rest and take time for herself.
